PrestaShop Installation Guide

Use this guide as the first technical checklist before staging, demo, or buyer-side UAT for a PrestaShop implementation. It focuses on PrestaShop readiness, installation checks, buyer setup, and return-cart testing before customer production.

Before installation

  • Confirm store domain and HTTPS status.
  • Confirm PrestaShop version and PHP compatibility.
  • Back up files and database.
  • Confirm buyer requirement: Oracle, SAP Ariba, compatible cXML, or OCI-related scope.
  • Prepare buyer Sender ID, Shared Secret, and BrowserFormPost / return URL.

Installation steps

  1. Upload the PunchOutHub module ZIP through PrestaShop Module Manager.
  2. Install or upgrade the module.
  3. Clear PrestaShop dev/prod cache after installation.
  4. Open PunchOutHub admin dashboard.
  5. Verify license status, integrity status, and buyer settings area.
  6. Create or update buyer profile.
  7. Run setup request and catalog session test.

After installation checks

  • Dashboard opens without fatal error.
  • Buyer profile saves correctly.
  • Catalog page opens from PunchOut session.
  • Return to Oracle / Return to buyer action appears in the PunchOut cart flow.
  • Masked logs show setup, restore, add, and return events.

If admin or front controller behavior looks stale after update, clear both dev and prod cache before assuming the module is broken.
